Here at Pipsqueaks Early Learning Centre, we value our educators and harness the individual expertise that they bring to their roles within the Pipsqueaks family.
We think our educators are our most valuable assets in providing high quality programs that achieve the best outcomes for your little treasures.
Mel has been in early childhood education since 2003 and worked across numerous centres in Geelong over that time.
She is passionate about providing an inviting, welcoming and inclusive place, not only for children, but their families.
Mel is Geelong born and bred with two pipsqueaks of her own at home, Daisy & Oliver. She is crazy about AFL, so don’t be afraid to catchup with Mel and chat about the latest game – GO CATS!
Hali has worked in the early childhood education sector since 2018. Before working in day care she was a qualified gymnastics coach for three years in the Geelong region which sparked her passion for working with children and building connections within the community in a meaningful way.
Administration and Wellbeing Officer
Laura has a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies and has worked as a Preschool Teacher, Family Day Care Educator and instrumental music teacher as well as many years in customer service supporting schools and educators.
She has two school age boys and lives on a couple of acres in Maude where they enjoy planting trees and veggies.
Lauren joined the Pipsqueaks family in January 2021 having worked in the early childhood industry for eight years across all age groups.
She believes it is paramount as an educator to build trusting relationships with our families to ensure we can collaboratively work together to meet the child’s needs, support them as best as possible and show them that they’re capable of anything!
In her spare time she loves to travel, cook and bake, spend time with my family and friends, find new brunch spots and hunt down new coffee spots for a good latte!
Aimee has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care as well as a Certificate of Education Support-Integration Aide/Teacher Aide. She has worked in children care for the past five years and has additional experience working as a nanny/babysitter as well as in disability.
Jade has lived in Lara her entire life and has been in the childcare sector for 3-3.5 years now. Jade left school around 15-16 to help care for ill family, to keep herself busy she got into the study of childcare. Jade has always been around children at a young age as she became an aunty at the age of 9-10 years old and her love for children grew from there.
Kylie is a diploma qualified educator and started as an educator in 2016 at a family ran centre in Ballarat. She has a keen interest in being able to provide an engaging and stimulating environment that is welcoming to both the children and their families.
She has two young children of her own which has given her additional skills as an educator and increased her passion for early childhood education.
Katelyn completed a diploma in 2020 and is passionate about working with children, watching them grow and develop every day.
Outside of work, Katelyn can be found on the netball court and in the kitchen.
She is very excited to be a part of the journey of Pipsqueaks and is looking forward to creating a welcoming, supportive inclusive environment.
Amber is a Trainee at Pipsqueaks who is currently studying to become an educator.
Whilst only being new in the industry, she has always loved to care for children and has looked after younger family members and family friends’ children.
Outside of work, she loves to travel whether just for a day trip or even a camping trip as being out in nature is what sparks her creativity most.
Elyce has been working in the children’s services industry for the past seven years. In that time she has worked across numerous centres, as a nanny in Geelong, as well as taking a gap year to work in a summer camp tucked away in the Californian Forrest in America.
Danni has been in early childhood education for the last 11 years. She has recently moved back to Geelong from Canberra where she has been living for the last four years. She has two young pipsqueaks of her own who keep her rather busy.
Danni is passionate about creating an inclusive, welcoming and engaging environment for all. She enjoys getting active and creative with the children as they let their ideas come to life.
When she is not at work, she is busy exploring the beach, You Yang’s and different parks with her family, horse riding or experimenting in the kitchen with a 50/50 success rate.
Candice has worked in early childhood education for five years, one of which she spent as a part time nanny.
Being a Lara local her whole life she is passionate about bringing the local community into the children’s education and seeing them develop a love for the simple things that are always around them.
Candice has danced since she was three and always enjoy teaching the children a few moves or just seeing them express themselves through their own dance moves.
Chelsea has been working in early childhood education for the past five years. Over that time she has worked across all ages from birth to five years. She has a passion for holistic approaches and strongly believes ‘it takes a village to raise a child’.
Because of that, Chelsea is driven to build strong, collaborative partnerships with all children, families and the greater community.
Chelsea is excited to be a part of the journey of Pipsqueaks Early Learning Centre and is looking forward to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for the entire Lara community.
Outside of work, Chelsea loves to explore her creative side whether it be through art and decorating, cooking, gardening and photography.
Molly has been diploma qualified and in the early childhood industry since 2018.
She is a passionate educator who enjoys hands on and child interest based experiences as she believes a child gets the most out of an experience they’re interested in.
Molly likes to make the environment as homely as possible with the involvement of not only the other staff and educators but the families and most importantly the children in the centres care so everyone can feel as comfortable as possible.
Molly is looking forward to this amazing ongoing journey with everyone involved in the centre and can’t wait to see what the future brings.
Kaycee has been in the childhood education division since 2017, she holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and has been working alongside children of all ages since she was 16 years old hosting and helping celebrate children’s memorable moments in life-birthday parties!
At play centres in different suburbs, she has always had a passion to work with children and working with them young is when she commenced her journey in this industry.
Kaycee enjoys helping children grow and become independent and watching them achieve their individual milestones, she is always willing to learn and gain further experience to provide the best quality care.
Kaycee currently resides in Lara with her family and is planning to build her own house this year in the beautiful suburb.
Throughout the years, Amela desired a career where she can make a change within an individual’s life and the broader community. Over time, she found myself herself working alongside and caring for young children who inspired her to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Lisa has been an early childhood educator for 14 years. She is passionate about hands on learning, art experiences and science-based experiments, and loves a program rich in loose parts where children can imagine, investigate, and create something of meaning to them.
Jo has been involved in Early Childhood Education for around 20 years. Starting in Geelong with a stint nannying in London before back to Melbourne, where she completed her Diploma and fell in love with the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
Ashlee has been working in early childhood education since 2018 and as a nanny over the past six years. She recently moved to Lara after growing up on the Mornington Peninsula.
Courtney has been working in Early Childhood Education for the last five years.
She loves watching the children grow into their big personalities, become independent and seeing their imagination grow through play and interacts with their peers.
From a young age, Destiny began to express a desire to work with young children, having found joy in their curiosity of the world around them and helping them to discover new things.
Destiny believes that each child is unique and as such their learning should be tailored for each individual. As an educator, she strives to develop each child’s strengths, interest, skills, ability, and knowledge.
What she loves most about her job is how rewarding it is to be able to work with children, becoming a part of their families lives as they learn and grow.
Sarah has been working in Early Childhood since 2008 with both a Diploma of Children’s Services and Diploma of Community Services.
She returned to Early Childhood Education after spending 12 months working in housing and homelessness with some of the most disadvantaged people in our community, which reaffirmed the importance of a strong start in life.
Sarah is passionate about providing an inclusive environment for all children and ensuring each child is given equal opportunity to thrive.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever Ruby, her two cats Poppy and Ziggy, watching the Geelong Cats and volunteering with Geelong Mums.
Talia is currently completing a traineeship at Pipsqueaks. She is loving her time in the industry so far discovering the unique qualities in every child. Outside of working Talia is interested in photography.
Mia is a trainee who is currently completing a Cert. III in Early Childhood Education and cannot wait to expand her knowledge and experience in this industry. She has always had a passion for working with children stemming from her days of cheerleading where she coached the younger participants.
She am very excited about completing my studies in such a positive and uplifting centre while also being able to work with the children and help to create a welcoming environment for them to thrive in.
Priyanka has been working in the early childhood industry for the past four years.
She has been lucky enough to have worked with all age groups and strongly believes that every child is unique and should be respected.
Her aim is to provide best practice, so children feel confident and involved in their learning. She believes in building strong relationships with the families so they can feel that their children are in a safe and secure learning environment.
Outside of work, Priyanka likes shopping, travelling, cooking and spending time with her family.
Raj has been working in childcare for 3 years and has two children of her own. It was after having children and watching them grow that she realised her passion was working with children. That’s when I completed my Diploma.
Raj is always expanding her knowledge in learning new things and is enthusiastic and dedicated to the development and education of young children.
Parminder became an educator because she loves working with children. She has a teaching background in India and was looking forward to working in the education sector after migrating to Australia. She values educating children in their early years of life and feels privileged to be part of Pipsqueaks.
Jorja completed her childcare studies in 2017. She has always had such a strong passion for educating and nurturing children, which is the reason she has ended up here, working with amazing children every day.
Multi Role Educator
Tamika started her career as an educator in 2016 and quickly upgraded my qualification from a Cert III to Diploma. She enjoys watching children grow and learn in their own unique ways. Tamika joined the Pipsqueaks team in 2021 and has been lucky enough to work in all age groups.
Outside of work, she can be found pottering around my property with her two children and partner. They enjoy camping trips, discovering new places along the way, and making memories of their own.
Kerrie has worked in hospitality at various organisations for some time. For the past 6 years, she has loved working as a centre cook at numerous childcare services across Geelong.
Gypsey loves her work at Pipsqueaks because of the friendly staff and children who make it a rewarding experience providing their nutrition needs with kindness.
